Burundi — Displacement Report (September 2019)
In September 2019, the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) recorded 103,412 internally displaced people (IDP) and 23,180 displaced households. Of these displacements, 77 per cent were displaced due to natural disasters while 23 per cent were displaced due to other reasons.

Conceptualized in 2004 in Iraq, for the IDP assessments and monitoring exercises, the DTM has been continuously refined and enhanced through years of operational experience in countries of implementation affected by natural disaster, conflict, or in complex situations.
