Turkey — Quarterly Migration Report (September 2017)

In September 2017, there were approximately 3.5 million foreign nationals present in Turkish territory seeking international protection. Most of them were Syrians (3,208,131 individuals) who were granted temporary protection status. Of these 72% were living in urban settings and 6% were living in camps. In addition, there were 591,982 foreign nationals with residency permit status including those granted humanitarian residence status.
