Somalia — Border Point Flow Monitoring (October 2017)

DTM monitors population movement at 12 border crossing locations between Somalia and neighbouring countries. Cross-border movements remained at similar levels until September 2017, when an increase was observed across Somalia due to droughts and conflicts. In October, a total of 6,670 cross border movements were recorded, mainly in four flow monitoring points (FMP): Dhobley (Lower Juba), Tulo Burwako (Lower Juba), Diif (Lower Juba) and Doolow (Gedo). Individuals were almost equally identified as entering (53%) and exiting (47%) Somalia.
