In the period between 25 February — 3 March 2018, 250 Undocumented Afghan individuals returned to Afghanistan through the Chaman/Spin Boldak border crossing whilst 231 individuals used the Torkham border crossing, bringing the total number of returns this week to 481 (87 families). There is an approximate 35% increase in the total number of returns as compared to last week.The total number of Undocumented Afghans that returned spontaneously to Afghanistan since 1st January 2018 through Torkham and Chaman now stands at 3,360 (excluding deportations). Out of the total number of returns during the present reporting period, 49% returnees were male whereas 51% were female. The top 5 destination provinces for returns are: Kandhar (40%), Nangarhar (23%), Kabul (13%), Kunar (5%) and Qandus (4%). The largest proportion of returns is from Balochistan (40%) followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (35%), Sindh (12%), Punjab (12%) and Islamabad (1%).
