Within the period of 12 – 18 September 2018, a total of 5,991 movements were recorded, including 5,431 arrivals and 560 departures. These movements occurred at locations in Askira/Uba, Bama, Damboa, Dikwa, Gwoza, Hawul, Kala/Balge, Konduga, Kukawa, Mafa, Magumeri, Maiduguri, Mobbar, Monguno and Ngala Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Borno state, and locations in Demsa, Fufore, Girei, Gombi, Hong, Madagali, Maiha, Mayo-Belwa, Michika, Mubi-North, Mubi-South, Numan, Song, Yola-North and Yola-South LGAs of Adamawa state.
 
Assessments identified the following main triggers of movements: ongoing conflict (61%), poor living conditions (16%), voluntary relocation (9%), fear of attacks (6%), improved security (3%), farming activities (2%), involuntary relocation (2%) and flooding (1%).
