Libya — Migration Profiles and Trends (2016)
Summary
During this reporting period IOM Libya conducted 8,306 interviews using simple random sampling across 10 different regions, some consisting of several Flow Monitoring Points. IOM estimates that there are between 700,000 to 1 million migrants in Libya, of whom Mobility Tracking tracked and identified 245,242 migrants by December 2016. Of those, 6,620 migrants were recorded as residing in detention centers at the time of reporting.
