Three and a half years after the devastating earthquake that struck Haiti in January 2010, an estimated 278,945 individuals (or about 70,910 households) remain in 352 IDP sites. It is estimated that 70,634 IDPs (15,375 households) live in large informal settlements such as Canaan, Jerusalem and Onaville as well as in T‐Shelter sites; discussions are underway with stakeholders to determine if these should remain in the caseload of IDPs. 41,106 IDP individuals (10,439 IDP households) left camps in the period under observation, indicating a 13% decrease in the displaced population.
