Ethiopia — Benishangul Gumuz/ East and West Wellega Rapid Response Assessment 1 (8 — 16 February 2019)

Localized conflict in Benishangul Gumuz region (BSG) and East and West Wollega zones of Oromia region beginning in the last week of September 2018 is believed to have displaced an estimated 191,752 individuals comprising 36,438  households. 36% of IDPs are in collective sites and 64% are in host communities. In BSG 14% of IDPs are in collective sites and 86% are in host communities. Bio Jiganfado woreda, believed to be hosting IDPs, was inaccessible due to ongoing conflict at the time of the assessment.
