Burundi — Displacement Dashboard 7 (April 2017)

DTM recorded 209,202 IDPs comprising 44,578 households during the period covered. Of these 8,745 IDPs (1,404 households) are in displacement sites, 137,798 IDPs (29,977 households) are living with host families and 62,659 (13,198 households) are living in rented houses, empty houses or self-constructed huts. 138,626 IDPs were displaced as a result of natural disasters, while 69,734 were displaced because of the socio-political situation.
