From 14 to 22 August 2017, arrivals were registered in the following Local Government Areas: Bama (20), Damboa (23), Dikwa (22), Gubio (20), Gwoza (738), Kaga (28), Konduga (13), Kukawa (48), Mafa (63), Monguno (42), Ngala (392), Madagali (1,511), and Shelleng (159).
This report contains an overview of the flow monitoring activities which took place in Niger between January and July 2017. In July DTM identified 6,058 incoming migrants and 3,937 outgoing migrants accross all the monitored flow monitoring points in Niger.

An assessment was carried out on 17 August 2017 by the DTM team in response to the displacement of persons into Madagali LGA. The assessment team confirmed that 3 villages (Bakin-Dutse, humbili and Wuno) were recently affected by Boko Haram attacks.
DTM recorded the presence of 325,589 displaced individuals (54,418 households) and more than 14 host localities. Seventy-two per cent of the displaced individuals are IDPs while 18 per cent are returnees and 9 per cent non-registered refugees.
The displaced population is estimated at 325,589 individuals (235,913 IDPs, 30,278 unregistered refugees and 59,398 returnees). 678 villages were evaluated including 14 new villages. Additionally, 48 uninhabited villages were identified.
