As part of its tenth round of the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM), the International Organization for Migration (IOM) conducted a Return Intention Survey targeting IDPs in the Far North Region of Cameroon.

The displaced population is estimated at 328,785 individuals (237,967 IDPs, 29,728 unregistered refugees and 61,090 returnees). 726 villages were evaluated including 3 new villages. 56 uninhabited villages were identified.
DTM identified 237,967 internally displaced persons, 29,728 unregistered refugees and 61,090 returnees. 7% of the displaced population was displaced by flooding and other natural disasters while the vast majority (93%) was displaced by conflict.

This displacement dashboard determines the status, locations, and needs of people displaced by the ongoing conflict in Northeast Nigeria. As of 15 August 2017, the DTM has identified 1,757,288 IDPs (322,931 households) across Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba, and Yobe States.
This Site Assessment Dashboard identified 242 camps and camp-like settings (formal and informal camps) housing and 658,841 IDPs. 61% cited tarpaulin as the most needed shelter material while 13% complained of not having portable water.
