The DTM Monthly Regional Update contains consolidated summary updates and highlights from DTM field operations.

As of 31 October, DTM identified 1,866,594 IDPs (311,099 families) who were displaced after January 2014, dispersed across 104 districts, 18 governorates and 3,363 locations in Iraq.

This report presents the findings of Round 22 of DTM data collection, which took place in September and October 2018. During the reporting period the number of identified returnees in Libya increased to 403,978

Detention Centre Profiling is a component of IOM Libya's Displacement Matrix programme. It is a data oriented tool that routinely provides specific sex and age demographic data and key sectorial information on individuals held in Libya's detention Centres. 

As the ISIL conflict ceased across Iraq, conflict-affected areas in the country experienced an uptick in returns of their internally displaced populations.

As the security situation remained calm during the reporting period, 250 families returned to their homes. 13 families are still displaced in Tajoura following the clashes in September, unable to return due to severe damage to their homes.

A similar proportion (1%) of returnees were recorded as living in locations ranked as having the most severe conditions1 between the two rounds:  46,074 returnees across 53 locations for round two compared to 46,998 returnees in 52 locations for round one.

IOM Yemen’s weekly Situation Report for the week of 30 September —6 October 2018 highlights that 22.2 million people are in need of humanitarian assistance, while 2 million people are internally displaced. 

Due to clashes between armed groups in Southern Tripoli between 26 August and 24 September, at least 5,270 families were displaced. Following the stop of hostilities on 24 September, more than 3,000 previously displaced households reportedly returned.

A total of 250,663 beneficiaries registered/ verified/ tracked since the beginning of 2018, in which 185,393 (48,399 IDPs, 131,958 returnees and 5,582 affected population/ vulnerable population) were properly registered, while the remaining 64,724 individuals were tracked in different locations.
