IOM’s Displacement Tracking Matrix has been monitoring displacement movements related to this crisis since October 15, when Iraqi Security Forces began 

The DTM has been monitoring displacement movements from West Anbar areas, particularly the districts of Ana, Al-Ka’im and Ru’ua, since January 2017.

DTM identified a total of 182,835 IDP families comprised of 1,097,010 individuals who are currently still displaced.

As of 30 September 2017, the DTM has identified 3,203,124 internally displaced persons (533,854 families) displaced after January 2014, dispersed across 98 districts and 3,726 locations in Iraq.

This Emergency Tracking (ET) system tracks displacement along the Mosul Corridor as of 17 September 2017.

IOM’s Displacement Tracking Matrix has been monitoring displacement movements related to this crisis since October 15, when Iraqi Security Forces began moving into disputed areas previously held by Kurdish forces.

As of 01 September 2017, the TFPM has identified, 2,014,026 internally displaced persons (IDPs) (335,671 households) who have been displaced due to conflict since March 2015, dispersed across 21 governorates.

As of 15 October, IDPs from Sabratah returned to their town except five families whose houses were burnt. Their needs are foods, NFIs and house repairs.

In Sabratha, clashes were reported as of 15 September, resulting in the displacement of 3,100 households (15,135 individuals) to Surman, Janoub Azzawia, South Sabratha, Al Ajaylat and Aljamil. The main reported need is food.

On 20 August 2017 the military operations to retake Telafar and surrounding areas were launched.

In Sabratha, clashes were reported as of 15 September, resulting in the dispalcement of 3,027 households to Surman, Janoub Azzawia, South Sabratha and Aljamil. On 8 September, five families were reportedly returning to Sidi Assayeh from Tripoli and Tarhuna.

During the month of August 2017, IOM DTM teams conducted 17 field missions, covering 140 sites/villages, to register and verify different caseloads of IDPs, returnees, refugees and affected host communities in the states of North Darfur, South Darfur, Central Darfur, South Kordofan, and West Kord

This overview highlights that 36,612 IDPs transited through Hammam Al Aliel screening site since 9 July 2017.
