Ce suivi des urgences a été realisé au Burundi pendant la semaine du 24 au 30 mars 2019. La DTM a identifié 867 personnes affectées réparties et 423 personnes déplacées.

  • During Round 4 of Mobility Tracking (Nov-Dec 2018), 1,275,868 IDPs and 866,846 returnees were identified.
  • 87% of counties and 59% of subareas were assessed. 33% of returnees in the assessed areas have arrived in their current location in 2018

The Bentiu Protection of Civilian (PoC) site was established in December 2013. As of February 2019, 159,647 beneficiaries remained registered in the site.

Current population of Wau PoC AA: 13,630  individuals

Following conflict-driven displacement from existing IDP camps in Central Equatoria, (including IDP sites Logo Kerewa, and Ajio), IDPs gathered in Korijo Camp in late 2018. Following reports of emergency humanitarian needs, IOM CCCM participated in an OCHA-initiated IRNA.

IOM’s Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) interviewed 4,319 households representing 7,494 travelling individuals crossing into and out of Bentiu Protection of Civilians site (PoC) site, Malakal PoC site, Wau PoC Adjacent Area (AA) site and Wau collective centres (Cathedral, Nazareth, St.

859,290 displaced individuals comprising 143,902 households in 472 displacement sites were identified in Oromia region.

1,166,878 displaced individuals comprising 196,628 households in 409 displacement sites were identified in Somali region.

82,968 displaced individuals comprising 38,293 households in 162 displacement sites were identified in Tigray region.

The majority of the recorded population were displaced before 2018, with 904 sites which reportedly opened in 2016/17 (DTM Rounds 1 - 8). Conflict was reported as the primary driver of displacement (1,663,396 IDPs), followed by displacement due to climate induced factors (508,723 IDPs).

49,437 displaced individuals comprising 8,980 households in 55 displacement sites were identified in Afar region.

There are 23,676 displaced individuals comprising 7,158 households in 74 displacement sites were identified in Amhara region.

20,741 displaced individuals comprising 3,064 households in 13 displacement sites were identified in Gambella region.

During February 2019, DTM has identified 130,562 IDPs. The main causes for the displacements have been: 75% natural disasters, 25% the socio-political situation.

DTM’s Flow Monitoring Registry (FMR) surveys people on the move at key transit points within South Sudan and at its borders.

IOM’s Displacement Tracking Matrix assessed three locations in Kuarjena, Jur River of Western Bahr el Ghazal following recent clashes between pastoralists and farmers. The unrest resulted in the displacement of 9,672 individuals who fled Akau, Werbet and Madhon (all within Kuarjena area).

Approximately 14,487 internally displaced persons (IDPs) have fled to Yei (84%) and Mugwo (16%) since January 2019 at the time of reporting. IDPs have primarily fled Otogo, Mykaya and Mugwo due to conflict.
