Operations

The number of COVID-19 cases continues to increase across Asia and the Pacific with countries stepping up response, as well as intensifying mobility restrictions. As of 27 March, more than 136,000 cases and over 6,000 deaths have been reported in the region.

During the reporting period:

This DTM report refers to the fourth round of site assessments conducted in North Cotabato and Davao del Sur from 25 to 27 November 2019. IOM deployed 3 enumerators included among 3 mobile CCCM support teams to roll out the DTM.

On  15  December  2019 at 02:11  PM, a 6.9 magnitude earthquake  jolted the  municipality  of Matanao,  Davao  del  Sur  just  30  kilometers  away  from  Tulunan,  North  Cotabato  which suffered three major earthquakes in late October.

Conflict-related violence resulted in the displacement of 479 people from Konnou Constituency in the Autonomous Region of Bougainville.

Three major earthquakes hit North Cotabato on 16, 29 and 31 October 2019, at 6.3, 6.6 and 6.5 magnitudes, respectively.
