 During this round, there has been an overall increase in the displaced population of 13,064 families (estimated 78,384 individuals). This is an increase of 3.6% from the displaced population figure reported on 15 January, 2015.

Through this reporting period, the DTM has tracked and identified an overall increase of 8,904 displaced families (an estimated 53,424 individuals). This is an increase of 2.5% from the displaced population figure reported on 25 December.

From September to  December 2014, a series of distinct, concurrent crises were recorded in several governorates causing a steady increase in the displaced population numbers.

From the beginning of January through 25 December 2014 the DTM identified 2,123,340 internally displaced individuals dispersed across 2,092 distinct locations in Iraq.

From the beginning of January through 25 November, 2014 the DTM verified 2,004,066 internally displaced individuals dispersed across 2,003 distinct locations in Iraq.

From the beginning of January through to 26 October, 2014 the DTM identified 1,898,844 internally displaced individuals dispersed across 1,928 distinct locations in Iraq.

Hostilities expanded geographically, but the most directly affected areas continued to be the primary governorates of origin of the displaced populations: Ninewa with 145,671 families (50%), and Anbar with 83,154 families (28%).

For the time period January to September 2014 DTM identified 1,725,432 internally displaced individuals dispersed across 1,715 distinct locations in Iraq.

176,150 families were displaced since January 2014 and 1,381 locations throughout Iraq are hosting IDP families. Over 50,000 IDP families are located in Anbar governorate and 28% of IDPs are located in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KR).

During the month of May 79,810 families were displaced due to the crisis in Anbar. 751 families underwent secondary displacements and 34,000 children were at risk, including those subject to labor and those without access to education. 52% of IDPs in sites assessed were under the age of 25.

From January to April 2014 DTM identified 74,010 families comprised of 444,060 individuals, affected by the Anbar crisis. During this 4 month period 814 sites hosting IDPs were also identified and 400, 000 people reportedly fled the country.
