Overview From 15 April 2023, armed clashes erupted between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). Clashes initially took place in cities across Northern and Khartoum states, later spreading across the Darfur and Kordofan regions.

During the reporting period, between 1 July and 30 September 2023, IOM Yemen DTM tracked 1,089 households (HHs) (6,534 individuals) who experienced displacement at least once.

In September 2023, IOM Yemen DTM recorded 1,551 migrants entering Yemen, a decrease of 63 per cent since last month (4,176). The number of migrants entering Yemen via the Lahj coast (548) has decreased 76 per cent since last month (2,249).

The Return Index is a tool designed to measure the severity of conditions in locations of return. Data collection for the Return Index Round 19 took place during May and August 2023 across 9 governorates, 39 districts and 2,170 locations in Iraq.

There are around 40,018 individuals who remain displaced after storm Daniel made landfall in northeastern Libya on 11 September 2023 with some households reportedly moving back home. In Almarj, for example, many families who were forced out of their homes have returned.
