Ce document présente les résultats des profils de sites effectués dans 54 sites à Bangi et Boda entre le 7 mai et le 28 mai 2014.
Du 18 au 24 Mai, 1 116 individus ont effectué un déplacement à partier du nord du pays. Parmi ces personnes 458 se sont rendues dans le sud dont 344 du fait des récents évènements à Kidal. De plus 658 personnes sont déplacées à l'interieur des régions du nord dont 375 suite aux récents évèvenements à Kidal. En parallèle, 617 personnes ont quitté le sud du pays pour se rendre au nord. La plupart de ces personnes se sont rendues à Tombouctou (326 individus) et à Gao (239 individus). Par ailleurs 22 personnes sont arrivées à Tombouctou en provenance de la Mauritanie.
575 IDPs were interviewed at 34 sites in Bangui. 77% of displaced persons left their place of origin in December 2013. 14% of displaced persons have stayed at more than one site. 60% of displaced persons intended to return to their place of origin within the next four weeks. 27% of displaced persons wished to stay at their displacement site, which shows a decrease from 32% in April 2014. Reasons that prevented the displaced back from returning to their place of origin were: no financial means to return (79%), belongings are stolen (75%), do not feel secure in their neighborhood (71%), and lack of security forces in their neighborhood (58%). Displaced persons’ primary needs are housing (33%), security (24%), and non-food items (14%).
On 9 September 2013 a group of Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) attacked Zamboanga City in Western Mindanao, Philippines. An estimated 118,000 individuals were affected by the armed conflict. Displaced families were scattered to 63 evacuation sites set-up around the city. Based on the consolidated DSWD and IOM Data, the current IDP population as of May 2, 2014 is 4,893 families. 75% of which are still living inside evacuation centers while 25% are already in transitory sites. Within the month of April, the Cawa-cawa Boulevard evacuation center, which consists of 700 IDP families, were gradually congested through various IDP movement. Eight months after the displacement, through the collaborative efforts of the city government, government agencies and humanitarian partners, majority of the displacement shelter of the IDPs were upgraded. 30% of them live inside modified tents made of sacoline material with partition in ECs and 22% of them live inside bunkhouses in transitory sites. 14% of the IDP families in displacement sites still live in makeshift tents.
26,761 households (137,096 internally displaced persons) were registered and assessed by IOM in all regions in Mali. 79,843 IDPs in the south and 57,253 IDPs in the north. IDPs’ movement toward the northern regions continue, although the rate has slowed since the beginning of the year. A survey conducted on IDPs in the south and in the north, revealed that 75% of displaced households want to go back to their place of origin, while 21% would like to stay in the place of displacement. 283,935 returnees (to their places of origin) were identified in Gao, Tombouctou, Kidal and Mopti. A survey conducted on IDPs’ primary needs, shows that 45% of the IDP households expressed needs in terms of food, 18% in the form of shelter, 13% in terms of employment and 7% for transportation support. A needs assessment conducted in villages in the northern regions revealed needs in terms of foods (71% of assessed villages) and in terms of WASH (14% of assessed villages).

Une enquête réalisée auprès des populations déplacées au nord et au sud révèle que 75% des ménages interrogés souhaite retourner dans leurs lieux d’origine tandis que 21% souhaite rester sur leur lieu de déplacement. 283 935 personnes retournées dans leurs zones d’origine ont été identifiées à Gao, Tombouctou, Kidal et Mopti. Une enquête réalisée auprès des personnes déplacées concernant les besoins primaires a mis en évidence le fait que 45% des ménages interrogés avait des besoins alimentaires, 18% des besoins en abris, 13% des besoins en termes d’emploi et 7% des besoins concernant leur transport vers leur lieu d’origine.
588 IDPs were interviewed at 22 sites in Bangui. 84% of displaced persons left their place of origin since December 2013. 38.6% left their place of origin for security reasons. 13% of displaced persons have stayed at more than one site. 57% of displaced persons intended to return to their place of origin within the next four weeks. 32% of displaced persons wished to stay at their displacement site, which shows a slight decrease from 34% in March 2014. Reasons that prevented the displaced back from returning to their place of origin were: belongings are stolen (80%), no financial means (68%), not feeling secure in their neighborhood (64%), and lack of security forces in their neighborhood (61%). Displaced persons’ primary needs are housing (31.5%), security (26.5%), and non-food items (11.1%).
Les statistiques journalières du 16 Avril 2014 sur les évacués de la RCA montrent que un total de 95,964 personnes ont été enregistrées et 28,367 personnes ont été transportées.

243 sites remain open corresponding to 37,131 households or 137,543 individuals. Compared to the previous assessments, a decrease of 9,382 IDP individuals or 2,439 IDP households was recorded. This amounts to a 6.4% decrease in the number of individuals and a 6.2% decrease in the number of households. Since July 2012, the IDP caseload has decreased by 91% and the number of IDP sites by 84%. Between January and March 2014, 30 IDP sites were closed.
Typhoon Haiyan hit the Philippines on 8 November 2013. It was one of the most powerful typhoons to ever make landfall. In the reporting period DTM recorded the presence of 24,867 displaced individuals (5,545 families) and 61 displacement sites (4 evacuation centers, 14 tent cities, one spontaneous site and 42 transitional sites). One evacuation center was closed in the Tacloban Hub namely the Streetlight Building Evacuation Center and no additional sites were opened at this period. A big concern is the Tacloban Hub is the search for land where transitional shelters could be built so that the tent cities like those found in Barangay 88 can be closed. Several options have been found and shelter cluster partners together with CCCM cluster partners are being asked to provide funds to construct transitional shelters.
This DTM Report reflects the sectoral snapshot based on the DTM as of 3 1March 2014. There are already 4,999 displaced families with 26,477 individuals in existing 6 evacuation centers and 5 transitory sites. Lunzuran Barangay Hall, Divisoria National High School and Sta. Maria Elementary School Evacuation Centers were recently closed after IDP families moved to the newly-opened PTSI Transitory Site. 7 IDP families from Lunzuran EC also availed the Balik Barangay and Balik Probinsya program of DSWD.
