692 evacuation shelters have been inventoried. Of these, 344 have been assessed by DTM teams. Registration data is currently available for 72 sites. A total of 3,594 households (representing 15,941 individuals) have been registered in 72 evacuation centres. A reported 2,735 individuals (17.2%) of the 15,941 individuals registered present various vulnerabilities. 59.9% of households interviewed have reported that their house has been destroyed while 29.8% have indicated that their house had been severely damaged by the hurricane.
From the start of January 2014 through 08 December 2016, the DTM has identified 3,064,146 internally displaced individuals (510,691 families). This map shows locations where IDPs are currently residing, as well as overall concentrations across the country. Baghdad governorate hosts the largest IDP population (13% or 412,836 individuals). Dahuk governorate hosts the second largest IDP population (13% or 395,418 individuals), of whom 99% are from Ninewa governorate. Ninewa governorate hosts the third largest IDP population (12% or 372,588 individuals) and reports a very high rate of intra-governorate displacement, with 95% of IDPs originally from the same governorate.
As of 8 December 2016, the DTM has identified 3,064,146 IDPs (510,691 families) displaced after January 2014, dispersed across 106 districts and 3,711 locations in Iraq. For the same period, the DTM has identified 1,273,824 returnees (i.e. 212,304 families). The launch on of military operations on 17 October 2016 in the governorates of Ninewa to retake the city of Mosul caused the displacement of over 82,000 of individuals in the course of less than two months. This large-scale displacement and the additional expected displacements prompted the inclusion of a seventh displacement period within the DTM methodology, from 17 October 2016 to date. The total number of identified IDPs decreased by 2%, i.e. by -49,812 individuals. Particularly, two governorates reported a significant decrease of the displaced populations, namely Anbar by 16% (-69,480 individuals), and Baghdad by 4% (-15,906 individuals.

Durante el período de agosto a octubre de 2016, la OIM implementó la DTM en el Triángulo Norte de Centroamérica para identificar municipios a priorizar desde la perspectiva de sus proveedores de servicios, a nivel gubernamental y no-gubernamental. 298 municipios fueron selecionados para la implementación de la DTM. El 99.3% reportó conocer al menos un caso de personas que migraron en los últimos 6 meses y 68.07% del total reportó conocer casos de personas que habían migrado en los últimos 2 años y que han desaparecido o fallecido.

Conflict related: The 11th TFPM identified, in connection with the ongoing conflict, 2,179,278 internally displaced persons (IDPs) who remain in a situation of displacement across 21 governorates; the majority, 51%, are displaced in Hajjah, Taizz, and Sana’a. The TFPM has identified 1,010,016 returnees in 20 governorates; the majority, 68%, have returned to Aden, Amanat Al Asimah and Taizz. Natural Disaster related: The 11th TFPM Report also provides figures on displaced and returnee populations in relation to displacement due to natural disasters, namely the two cyclones that made landfall in November 2015 and the heavy rains through the summer 2016. As of September 2016, 20,334 individuals remain in displacement owing to natural events across 18 governorates, with 55,554 returnees across 8 governorates.
The total number of individuals currently displaced is 77,046. Of these, 68,484 IDPs (89%) originate from Mosul. Most IDPs are in Ninewa governate: 75,906 individuals, which represents 99% of the total displaced population.
The cumulative total of IDPs recorded by DTM during this period was 86,334 individuals comprising 14,389 families. Of these, 77,874 individuals (comprising 12,979 families) are still displaced. 61,176 people are currently residing in emergency camps. DTM also recorded 8,460 individual returnees. This dashboard includes a map indicating the nature and distribution of displacement sites (private settings, critical shelter arrangements, emergency camps and screening sites) in 18 villages and camps.
