The DTM recorded 391,860 IDPs comprising 65,310 families. The majority of the displaced population, 154,932, originated from the districts of Salah-al-Din and Ninewa. At the time of writing 208,950 IDPs lived in camps , 97,170 lived in critical shelter arrangements, 79,848 were resident in private shelters and 1,170 were located at the reception center. 4,722 IDPs were resident in unknown shelter arrangements.    

Within the period DTM recorded 153,714 IDPs comprising 25,619 families. Most IDPs, 119,370, originated from Mosul. The governorate of Ninewa hosted the most IDPs (146,556) within the period. Most IDPs, 127,224 were resident in camps or emergency sites.  

The 12th TFPM identifies, in connection with the ongoing conflict, 2,007,216 internally displaced persons (IDPs) across 21 governorates; the majority, 50%, are displaced in Hajjah, Taizz, Amanat Al Asimah and Sana’a. 68% of the identified 1,027,674 returnees have returned to Aden, Amanat Al Asimah and Taizz. In relation to displacement due to natural disasters, the report identifies 17,844 individuals across 15 governorates, with 54,924 returnees across 7 governorates.

DTM recorded 161,886 IDPs comprising 26,981 families across 7 governorates. The governorate of Ninewa hosted the most IDPs, 155,058. Mosul was the most commonly cited district of origin with 127,902 people recorded as originating from there. The majority of individuals, 135,474, were residing in camps or emergency sites  

The cumulative total of individuals displaced within this period was 196,788. These comprised 32,798 families. The district hosting the largest number of IDPs within this period was Al-Hamdaniya with 81,954 recorded IDP’s. 70% of the cumulative total of IDPs were living in emergency camps. DTM also recorded 35,610 returnees.  

IOM recorded a cumulative total of 169,986 individuals comprising 102,733 households crossing the border into Haitian territory. 33.8% of these were female and 66.2% were male. 2,772 presumed unaccompanied minors were identified. 103,495 individuals declared having returned spontaneously and 28,841 individuals claim to have been deported. 37,188 individuals were officially deported at the three official border crossing points of Ouanaminthe, Malpasse, and Belladère and have been voluntary registered.

Mosul was the most commonly cited district of origin with 127,308 people recorded as originating from there. The majority of individuals, 134,898, are residing in camps or emergency sites.  

The site profile was conducted for a camp in the town of Mutimbuzi, Rural Bujumbura. 2,032 IDPs comprising 303 households were present at the camp during the period of survey. There were two functional water services on site which could provide 20 liters of water per person per day. Food was available for purchase at a community market the last food distribution had taken place on 16 November 2016. IDPs were also able to grow food on site.  Primary and secondary school facilities and health services were also available on site.

The site profile was conducted for a camp in the town of Mutimbuzi, Rural Bujumbura. 958 IDPs comprising 102 households were present at the camp during the period of survey. There was one functional water service on site which could provide 20 liters of water per person per day. Food was available for purchase at a community market the last food distribution had taken place on 17 November 2016. IDPs were also able to grow food on site.  Primary and secondary school facilities and health services were also available on site.  

Since February 2016, IOM Niger has been carrying out flow monitoring of migrants at two points in Niger in the region of Agadez. 8,424 incoming individuals were observed in FMPs and 6,524 outgoing individuals were observed in FMPs during the month of January.

IOM profiled 840 individuals (224 households) among whom were 223 children under the age of five years in seven villages in its surroundings and 16 neighbourhoods within Ndélé. 44% of the displaced population were returnees from Chad whilst 14% came from Bria and Bambari. Most population movements can be traced back to November and December 2017. This is due to the events that took place in Kaga-Bandoro in October and those taking place in Bambari in December. 62% of displaced individuals cited fear of retaliation as the main reason for having fled. A further 29% quoted difficult living conditions. 5% fled after the arrival of the guerrilla group, Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) and 3% fled fighting between ex-Séléka militias and Fula people. 

DTM identified 26,868 IDP families comprised of 161,208 individuals. The majority of the identified individuals (126,126) originated from Mosul. 134,802 people were living in camps/emergency settings and 24,600 people were living in private settings.
