DTM identified 63,169 IDP families comprised of 379,014 individuals. The majority of the identified individuals (345,384) originated from Mosul. 313,566 people were living in camps/emergency sites and 56,988 people were living in private settings.
Over the past six months, severe drought conditions have contributed to the displacement of more than a half a million people across the country. Baidoa town (Baidoa district, Bay region), currently hosts one of the highest caseloads of drought displaced people in the country. DTM recorded 142,475 IDPs in Baldoa town and 247 sites as of 17 May 2017. 47% of IDP settlements are spontaneous sites, 21% live with host communities and 32% stay in planned camps. 82% of IDPs originate from Bay. The most populated IDP site is Kerow Mirqa IDP. The report includes a map displaying settlement locations, age and population.
The movements recorded through the flow monitoring points during the reporting period were fewer than in the previous months. DTM recorded 4,687 outgoing and 7,304 incoming individuals observed at the two active Niger FMPs during the reporting period.

Les données, collectées à partir de sources primaires, fournissent un aperçu des mouvements migratoires dans la région. Les mouvements observés aux points de monitoring des flux pendant la période du rapport ont été moins nombreux que pendant les mois précédents. En avril 2017, 4 687 individus sortants et 7 304 individus rentrants ont été observés sur deux points de suivi des flux actifs.

DTM has identified a total of 1,234,894 individuals returning to their respective homes of which 94,584 (7.7%) individuals are from Cameron, Chad and Niger Republic. The dashboard contains a map displaying the concentration of returnees by area. While 145,964 households were found undamaged, 40,185 were found to be partially burned and 6,974 were makeshift shelters. Between 3 and 12 April, the LGA with the most returnees was Mabbar in Borno: 15,028 individuals returned from Niger Republic.
Total number of identified IDPs increased by 51,588 (3%) individuals from last DTM round. The number of identified returnees increased by 83,467 (7%) individuals from the last DTM round. A survey of unmet needs showed that food remains the predominant need in majority (70%) of IDP sites. The largest IDP populations are located in Borno (79%), Adamawa (8%) and Yobe (6%). 97% of displacements were due to the Insurgency.
DTM recorded 60,020 IDP families comprised of 378,120 individuals. The majority of recorded IDPs originated from Mosul District (345,492 individuals). Most IDPs are living in camps or emergency sites (313,932 individuals). As 31 May 2017, Haj Ali camp reported an increase of approximately 70 IDP families. Khazer M1 camp reported an overall increase of 60 IDP families. Ongoing field visits allowed to identify new IDP families in Baghdad governorate, particularly in Karkh district.
