As of 19 June 2017 DTM identified 111.062 IDP families (666,372 individuals). Of these 431,934 individuals are living in camps and emergency sites. Mosul hosts the most IDPs (262,344 individuals) followed by Tikrit (118,788 individuals).  

As of 20 June 2017 DTM identified 70,997 IDP families (425,982 individuals) currently still displaced. Of these, the majority originated in Mosul district (357,288 individuals). The most common types of shelter arrangements amongst the identified displaced population are camps and emergency sites with 358,446 individuals currently living in these arrangements.

From April to May 2017 DTM Libya interviewed 914 key informants across 100 Baladiyas and 657 Muhallas. A total of 240,188 IDPs were identified.

During the reporting period 6,827 individuals (2,385 households) were identified. Of these, 87% were women and children and 23% were children under 5 years old. 42% of the population was male and 58% was female.

During the reporting period 15,074 individuals (6,289 households). Of these 84% were women and children and 24% were children under 5 years old. 41% of the population was male and 59% was female.

As of 20 June 2017 DTM identified 69,573 IDP families (417,438 individuals) currently still displaced. Of these, the majority originated in Mosul district (355,482 individuals). The most common types of shelter arrangements amongst the identified displaced population are camps and emergency sites with 351,180 individuals currently living in these arrangements.

Fifty-five per cent of education facilities, 44 per cent of health facilities and 44 per cent of boreholes are functional. The majority of returnees are recorded in Bentiu, Rubkona, and Nhialdiu. Panhiany, Whatjaak, and Ngop are hardly accessible payams and nearly deserted. 

In Sabratha, clashes between the Libyan Coast Guard and migrant smugglers were reported on 11 of June, which led to the death of one migrant and the injury of two others. In Azzawaya, Conflict between two families in Azzawya on 3 June led to the death of 8 people and the injury of 17. Several households were reported as displaced within Baladiya but returned to their homes once the armed conflict ended. A migrant was also reported to have died after having fallen off a truck in Shouhada Mdaken, in Azzawya.

DTM identified 101,131 IDP families (606,786 individuals) and 31,800 returnee families (190,800 individuals) in and around Mosul. 61% of displaced people are living in emergency camps and 23% are living in emergency sites.

DTM recorded 69,331 IDP families comprised of 415,986 individuals. The majority of recorded IDPs originated from Mosul District (355,482 individuals). Most IDPs are living in camps or emergency sites (349,728 individuals). As of 14 June 2017, Qayyarah Jad’ah 6 camp recorded an increase of 402 IDP families. DTM has identified approximately 7,000 returnee families across villages in Hammam al-Aleel sub-district. Reportedly, these returnees were forcibly displaced from this area towards the city of Mosul in November 2016. Their areas of origin were retaken by ISF at the end of March 2017, and from mid-May returns to Hammam al-Aleel sub-district started to be recorded. After further verifications the figures have now been added to the DTM returnee counting. 

Ninewa governorate hosts the largest IDP population (21% or 626,766 individuals) and reports a very high rate of intra-governorate displacement, with 97% of IDPs originally from the same governorate. Dahuk governorate hosts the second largest IDP population (13% or 388,170 individuals), of whom 99% are from Ninewa governorate.  Kirkuk governorate hosts the third largest displaced population (12% or 362,256 individuals). IDPs in Kirkuk are mainly from Salah al-Din (22%), Anbar (14%), and from within Kirkuk governorate (52%). Erbil governorate hosts the fourth largest IDP population (11% or 346,086 individuals). The majority of this population is originally from Ninewa governorate (46%), while a smaller portion (38%) are from Anbar governorate.

From the start of January 2014 through 30 May 2017, DTM identified 3,020,034 IDPs (503,339 families). This maps shows the sizes of IDP population residing in 3main shelter categories (private, critical, camp plus unknown).
