A la date du 30 juin 2017, les partenaires de la CMP ont comptabilisé 60 094 rapatriés, ce qui correspond à une augmentation de 1 779 personnes par rapport aux données d’Avril 2017 (58 315 Rapatriés). En parallèle, 51 961 personnes déplacées internes (9 597 ménages), 498 170 personnes retournées ont été enregistrés par les équipes de la DNDS et 143.103 réfugiés maliens dans les pays limitrophes par l’UNHCR.
This DTM Emergency Tracking Tool (ETT) has been deployed to track and provide up-to-date information on sudden displacement and other population movements in Bama, Chibok, Damboa, Dikwa, Gubio, Gwoza, Kaga, Kala Balge, Konduga, Kukawa, Mafa, Monguno and Ngala.
As of 30 June 2017, the DTM has identified 3,351,132 internally displaced persons (558,522 families) displaced after January 2014, dispersed across 104 districts and 3,654 locations in Iraq. For the same period, DTM has identified 1,952,868 returnees (325,478 families). Overall, the total number of identified IDPs increased by approximately 11% (331,098 individuals). The returnee population increased by 8% (139,188 individuals).
In response to the needs of people affected by the recent floods in South Darfur State, the DTM team conducted registration and verification exercises in Kalma IDP camp, South Darfur to register and identify the flood affected population. Out of 1,780 households reported to be affected by the flood, the IOM DTM team registered and identified 1,427 households in the three targeted sectors in Kalma IDP camp.
During the reporting period DTM identified 137,938 IDP families comprised of 827,628 individuals. 395,562 individuals were living in unknown shelter arrangements and 359,670 individuals were living in camps and emergency sites.
On 9 June 2017, at Korma IDP gathering site, a fire incident was reported to result in fire damage to 1,001 shelters, 5 fatalities (2 males and 3 females), and 19 casualties. 3 people were reported to be missing (1 elderly person and 2 children under 5 years of age) and a loss of livestock was also reported (1,124 animals). Through door-to-door assessments conducted between 13 and 19 June 2017, DTM team identified and registered 788 households (3,851 individuals) affected by the fire incident. From the reported figure of 1,001 shelters (4,385 individuals) affected by fire, 786 shelters were identified as completely burned, whereas 2 shelters were identified to have been partially damaged by the fire. The shelters completely burned by the fire represent almost half of the site.
DTM identified 136,973 IDP families (comprised of 821,838) who are currently still displaced. DTM also identified 212,832 returnees comprising 35,472 families. The main district of displacement is Mosul where 627,366 individuals were identified. The majority of IDPs (47%, 389,898 individuals) identified were living in unknown shelter arrangements.
During the reporting period DTM identified 136,973 displaced households comprised of 821,838 individuals. 389,898 individuals are living in unknown shelter arrangements, 359,562 individuals are living in camps and emergency sites, 60,402 individuals are living in private setting, 11,934 in critical shelter arrangements and 11 people are residing in screening sites.
Military operations in west Mosul led to the dis-placement of thousands of individuals to camps and out-of-camp locations, which are continuously being identified and monitored, when ac-accessible, by the DTM team. As DTM strives to expand its coverage and real time reporting, different mechanisms to monitor displacement and triangulate figures have been put in place, including using flow-monitoring information through Hammam Al-Aliel screening site.
DTM identified 945,182 IDPs, 454,054 outgoing migrants and 1,471,388 returnees from abroad. 16,701 key informants were interviewed across 9 provinces and 120 districts. A total of 3,920 settlements were assessed.
DTM Emergency Tracking Tool (ETT) is deployed to track and provide up-to-date information on sudden displacement and other population movements in: Bama, Chibok, Damboa, Dikwa, Gubio, Gwoza, Jere, Kaga, Kala balge, Konduga, Monguno, and Ngala. Voluntary relocation was the reported trigger for all identified spontaneous movements during this reporting period.
In Garabolli, 112 migrants were reportedly found in a truck on the week of 15 June 2017 and six migrants were reported to have been kidnapped and assaulted on the road between Sebha and Ashshwayrif. In Misratah a peace agreement was signed on 19 June between the mayor of Misrata and the Tawergha Local Council. The agreement would enable Tawergha IDPs, the majority of whom were displaced in 2011, to return.
