The flow monitoring figures provide an indication of the cumulative number of IDPs displaced from west Mosul. From 25 February to 10 August 2017, a cumulative total of 708,238 individuals had transited through the Hammam al-Aliel screening site.

DTM identified 139,915 IDP families (839,490 individuals) who are currently displaced and 40,774 returnee families (244,644 individuals). 48% of the displaced population is living in unknown shelter arrangements and 32% are living in emergency sites or camps.

A la date du 31 juillet 2017, les partenaires de la CMP ont comptabilisé 60 185 rapatriés, ce qui correspond à une augmentation de 91 personnes par rapport aux données du CMP de juin 2017 (60 094 Rapatriés). En parallèle, 55.382 personnes déplacées internes (10 484 ménages), 498 170 personnes retournées ont été enregistrés par les équipes de la DNDS et 140 548 réfugiés maliens dans les pays limitrophes par l’UNHCR.

An air strike was reported in Suk al Ahad on 3 August leading to the death of 2 people and the injury of 8. As of the 23 July IDPs from Sabri were allowed to return to the area to examine their properties.

The analysis in this report is based on data collection exercises conducted by IOM Iraq Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) through its Emergency Tracking methodology (ET), from October 2016 to the end of June 2017. The events that took place between 29 June and 9 July did not significantly affect the general displacement and return trends outlined in this report. The analysis refers to data collected up to 29 June, to allow enough time for validation.1 However, the data collection exercise is ongoing and the most updated figures are available on DTM Iraq’s dedicated portal.

The South Sudan Quarterly Update provides an overview on DTM activities between April and march 2017 concerning biometric registration (126,563 IDPs registered), flow monitoring (18 flow monitoring points), population head count (10 IDP sites covered), rapid assessments (six sites covered) and the village assessment survey (Rubkona and Baliet County). 

The DTM emergency tracking tool was deployed to track and provide up-to-date information on sudden displacement and other population movements in: Bama, Chibok, Damboa, Dikwa, Gwoza, Kaga, Kala Balge, Konduga, Kukawa, Mafa, Monguno and Ngala.

DTM registered 1,547 households consisting of 3,983 individuals in 43 locations within the two localities. Most of the South Sudanese are living in El Nuhud locality (1,486 households consisting of 3,835 individuals), of which about 62% are male. The team visited 39 sites / villages to register the 3,835 South Sudanese in El Nuhud locality. 43% of the registered caseload are living in El Nuhud town, while 61 households consisting of 148 individuals live in 5 areas in Wad-Banda locality, of which 72% are male.

198 265 Personnes Déplacées Internes (PDI), dans 44 275 ménages, ont été identifiées. 65% des déplacements sont dûs à des désastres naturels, 35% à la situation socio-politique. La majorité (53%) des PDI ont été déplacées en 2015, 28% en 2016, et 14% en 2017. La majorité des PDI (53%) ont été déplacées en 2015, tandis aue 28% ont été déplacées en 2016, 13% en 2017 et 6% avant 2015. 58% des PDI sont hébergées par des familles d'accueil, tandis 25% vivent dans des maisons louées, 7% dans des maisons vides et 4% dans des sites de déplacement internes. 55% des PDI sont des femmes, contre 45% d'hommes.

This report provides an overview of the movements of internally displaced people since 2013. The largest movement of IDPs took place in 2015: 21% of all identified IDPs were displaced during the period of January to April 2015 while 32% were displaced between May and December 2015.

83% of the surveyed population intend to stay in Duk. The majority are displaced from Uror County within Jonglei state. 92% of those who intend to stay do not know for how long they would like to stay. 71% have access to local shelter Materials. Cooking sets are the most needed non-food Item. 65% report not receiving any hygiene sensitization messages.
