This is a compilation of all site profiles in Yobe identified in Round 20.

Round XX identified 1,702,680 individuals as displaced in the affected states, representing a marginal decrease of less than 1% decrease compared to the population identified in Round XIX (October 2017). This is in line with the trend that has been observed over the last few months, mainly on account of increase in returnees. 82,274 displaced persons were interviewed in this round of assessment, representing five per cent of the identified IDP population. This report also includes site assessments that were carried out in 2,192 sites. The sites included 251 camps and camp-like settings and 1,932 locations where IDPs were residing with host communities.

This document lists all the sites assessed in DTM Round 20 including the site ID, site name, state, Local Government Area, ward name, number of households and number of individuals.

This displacement dashboard determines the status, locations, and needs of people displaced by the ongoing conflict in Northeast Nigeria. As of 8 December 2017, DTM has identified 1,702,680 IDPs (321,580 households) and 1,329,428 returnees across Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba, and Yobe States. This represents a decrease of 11,091 individuals from the previous DTM Round, reflecting the continuing trend of IDPs returning to their Local Government Areas, particularly in Borno State. 

This Site Assessment Dashboard identified 665,931 IDPs in 251 camps and camp-like settings. 81% of the IDPs are women and children, 70% of the IDPs in sites cited tarpaulin as the most needed shelter material and 7% of the sites have households living outside shelters. Further, 13% of the IDPs in sites stated not having potable water and 30% cited blankets as the most needed NFI. 69% of IDPs cited malaria as the most common health problem. 

DTM Emergency Tracking Tool (ETT) was deployed to track and provide up to date information on sudden displacement and population movements in: Askira, Bama, Chibok, Damboa, Dikwa, Gubio, Gwoza, Jere, Kaga, Kala/Balge, Konduga, Kukawa, Mafa, Maiduguri, Monguno, Ngala, Nganzai and Hong in Borno State and Fufore, Girei, Gombi, Maiha, Madagali, Magumeri, Michika, Mobbar, Mubi North, Mubi South, Yola North and Yola South in Adamawa State.

This report provides an overview of the movements of internally displaced persons (IDPs) since 2013. 187,626 IDPs in 42,416 households were identified. 69% of IDPs were displaced as a result of natural disasters, while 31% were displaced because of the socio-political situation. Most (46%) IDPs were displaced in 2015, while 29% were displaced in 2016 and 19% in 2017. 54% of IDPs live with host families, while 24% lived in rented homes. 4% of IDPs live in IDP camps and collective sites. 55% of IDPs are women, while 45% are men.

187 626 Personnes Déplacées Internes (PDI), dans 42 416 ménages, ont été identifiées. 69% des déplacements sont dûs à des désastres naturels, 31% à la situation socio-politique. La plupart(46%) des PDI ont été déplacées en 2015, 29% en 2016, et 19% en 2017. 54% des PDI sont hébergées par des familles d'accueil, tandis 24% vivent dans des maisons louées et 4% dans des sites de déplacement. 55% des PDI sont des femmes, contre 45% d'hommes.

Wege Arrival Camp (Pulka Transit Camp) in Gwoza Local Government Area (LGA) received 1,437 new arrivals individuals between 8 and 25 December while no departures were recorded from the site during this period. Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) unit of International Organization for Migration (IOM) carried out emergency registration of 130 households or 535 individuals on 20 December and 56 households or 165 individuals on 23 December. The IDPs reportedly departed from Valle, Chongolo, Mayenti, Dala Gambari, Gawurima in Bama LGA, as well as from Valle, Shave, Dalvagone, Sabongari and Ashigashiya in Gwoza LGA in search of better living conditions following the military operation in Ngoshe ward in Gwoza LGA. IDPs were transported to Pulka still Ngoshe does not have humanitarian assess. During the emergency registration on 20 December, 130 households or 535 individuals were registered, including only 5 male adults, 154 female adults, 193 boys and 183 girls.

The DTM has been monitoring displacement movements from West Anbar areas, particularly the districts of Ana, Al-Ka’im and Ru’ua, since January 2017. Displacement has been taking place since then as a consequence of hostilities in the area, and mainly in anticipation of the larger military operations announced to be launched several times throughout 2017. The DTM has consequently set up an integrated system composed of a flow monitoring system at Kilo 18 screening site and the regular DTM Emergency Tracking, which tracks IDPs at their location of displacement. 62,910 IDPs transited through Kilo 18 screening site since January 2017; 65,940 IDPs displaced from West Anbar since January 2017 and identified at their location of displacement, of these: 43,812 IDPs currently registered in camps; 22,128 IDPs identified in out-of-camp locations, including: 21,366 IDPs in private settings and 762 IDPs in critical shelter.

On 3 December, DTM observed an increase in migrants entering  Libya via Ghadamis, with the main nationalities being Bigerian, Malian, Senegalese and Nigerien. On the following day, landmines in Benghazi caused ten deaths.
