A total of 25 new arrivals were reported, a two fold increase of entries compared to the previous week. Once again, no exits were reported. The majority of the new arrivals cited lack of food as their reason for displacement (75%) while others cited rejoining their family (25%). The majority of new arrivals came from Ethiopia (57%) while the remaining came from Belet xaawo (13%) and Garbaharey district (14%).
The lowest number of entries (139) were recorded this week since the start of MTT in Kismayo and 24 exits were observed. New arrivals cited insecurity (50%), food (43%), health (3%) and education (3%) as their reason for displacement. Most came from Kismayo District (63%) while others came from Jilib (13%), Badhaadhe (13%), Buale (7%) and a few others. These new arrivals went to the following IDP sites: Galbet Section (33%), Dalxiska Section (27%), Fanole Section (27%) and Central (7%). Out of the 7 families exiting, 2 of them were leaving the Dalxiska Section, 2 left the Fanole Section, 2 left the Galbet Section and 1 family left the host community. Most families (88%) cited management of their farms as the main reason leaving while others (12%) left due to the uncomfortable living condition in the sites.
A total of 164 new arrivals were recorded this week, a slight increase compared to last week, and 11 exits were recorded, a slight decrease compared to last week. The majority of the new arrivals cited insecurity (50%), food scarcity (33%), health (10%) and education (7%) as their reasons for displacement. Out of the 7 families leaving the IDP sites, 2 of them left the Dalxiska Section, 2 left the Fanole Section, 2 left the Galbet Section and 1 left the host community. These IDPs were heading to the districts of Kismayo (57%), Buale (29%) and Badhaade (14%). Their main reason for leaving was to manage their farms (88%) while others cited the uncomfortable living conditions in the sites.
Within the period of 13 – 19 June 2018, a total of 3,412 movements were recorded, including 2,913 arrivals and 499 departures at locations in Askira/Uba, Bama, Biu, Chibok, Damboa, Demsa, Dikwa, Fufore, Girei, Gombi, Gubio, Guzamala, Gwoza, Hawul, Hong, Madagali, Mafa, Magumeri, Maiha, Michika, Mobbar, Monguno, Mubi-North, Mubi-South, Ngala, Nganzai, Numan, Yola-North and Yola-South Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Adamawa and Borno States. Assessments identified the following main triggers of movements: poor living conditions (35%), military operations (25%), voluntary relocation (25%), farming activities (7%), improved security (4%), ongoing conflict (3%) and fear of attacks (1%).
A total of 141 new arrivals and 297 exits were observed this week marking the lowest number of exits recorded in the last four weeks at Baidoa checkpoints. The number of arrivals were slightly lower than last week. The key driving factors for new arrivals were insecurity and lack of food, while those leaving cited management of their farms.
A total of 252 new arrivals were recorded this week, this highest number in the last ten weeks and 217 exits were observed, the lowest number in the last seven weeks at Baidoa checkpoints. For those arriving, insecurity and lack of food were cited as the main factors for displacement while those leaving the IDP sites left to return to their farms. The high number of arrivals with low number of exits is mainly due to the Gu (rain) season coming to an end.
A total of 9 new arrivals were reported at the two entry points in Dolow District, a slight decrease from the previous week. The new arrivals cited insecurity (57%) and food (43%) as their reason for displacement. There was an increase in the number of exits, 9 families left the sites this week compared none last week. They left their respective sites in order to return to their farms. 43% of those exiting were men thus complementing the reason for returning to their farms.
The DTM Burundi dashboard for the month of May 2018 covers all 18 provinces of Burundi. The DTM has identified 187,026 internally displaced persons (IDPs) amidst 41,060 households. 108,855 IDPs (58%) were living with host families, 3,552 IDPs (2%) were living in camps and displacement sites, 34,658 IDPs (19%) were living in emtpy and straw houses, and 39,961 IDPs (21%) were living in rented housing. 74% of IDPs (137,532) were displaced as a result of natural disasters and 26% of IDPs (48,680) were displaced as a result of sociopolitical issues.

DTM identified 3,829,758 returnees across Iraq in May 2018, which is a 3% increase in the number of returnees compared to the previous month. Returns have been sustained since July 2016, when the campaign against ISIL intensified, with the periods October — November 2016 (aftermath of the offensive to retake the Anbar districts of Ramadi, Heet and Fallujah as well as eastern districts of Ninewa), May–June 2017 (Mosul operations) and September–December 2017 (last advance of the retaking campaign) witnessing the highest numbers of returns.
As of 31 May 2018, the DTM has identified 2,045,718 internally displaced persons (340,953 families) displaced after January 2014, dispersed across 103 districts and 3,377 locations in Iraq. For the same period, DTM has also identified 3,829,758 returnees (638,293 families). Overall, the total number of identified IDPs decreased by approximately 3% (-10,076 families). Decreases were recorded in 17 out of Iraq's 10 governorates, with the exception of Dahuk. The returnee population increased by 3% (19,845 families) during this monitoring period, reflecting a continuous trend of increasing return movements.
