As clashes in South Tripoli intensified over the last days, more than 1,110 families (approximately 5,550 individuals) were displaced on 11-12 April, bringing the total number of displaced households since the onset of armed conflict on 05 April 2019 to 2,725 families (approximately 13,625 individuals). Clashes continue to be reported in Khalla al Furjan, Ain Zara and Wadi Rabea, but have also increasingly impacted the area of Swani south-west of Tripoli, triggering new displacements of affected population.

إثر ازدياد حدّة الاشتباكات في جنوب طرابلس خلال الأيام الأخيرة، نزحت أكثر من 1,110 أسرة (حوالي 5,550 فردا) خلال آخر 24 ساعة ليصل بذلك مجموع الأسر النازحة منذ بداية الاشتباكات المسلّحة يوم 05 أبريل إلى 2,725 أسرة (حوالي 13,625 فردا). ومازالت مناطق خلّة الفرجان وعين زارة ووادي الربيع تشهد حالات نزاع أثّرت بصورة متزايدة في منطقة السواني جنوب غرب طرابلس وأدّت بذلك إلى نزوح جديد للسكّان المتضرّرين.

In January 2019, the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) recorded 134,054 internally displaced people and  29,536 displaced households. Of these displacements, 76 per cent were displaced due to natural disasters while 24 per cent were displaced as a result of the socio-political situation. Of the total IDP population, 55 per cent are female and 45 per cent are males. Additionally, 61 per cent of IDPs are children under 18 years. Overall, there has been a 4 per cent decrease in the number of IDPs between December 2018 and January 2019.

En janvier 2019, la Matrice de Suivi des Déplacements (DTM) a enregistré 134 054 personnes déplacées internes (PDI) y compris 29 536 ménages. Soixante-seize pour cent des déplacements ont été provoqués par des facteurs écologiques et vingt-quatre pour cent en raison du contexte sociopolitique. La population déplacée est composée à 55 pour cent de femmes et 45 pour cent d’hommes. Soixante-et-un pour cent de la population est composée de jeunes et d’enfants de moins de 18 ans. Le nombre de PDI a augmenté de 4 pour cent entre décembre 2018 et janvier 2019.

Following continued clashes in South Tripoli, another 720 families (approximately 3,600 individuals) were displaced on 09-10 April 2019, bringing the total number of displaced households since the onset of armed conflict on 05 April to 1,615 families (approximately 8,075 individuals).

نزحت 720 أسرة إضافية (حوالي 3.600 فردا) بين يومي 9و10 أبريل 2019 من جرّاء استمرار الاشتباكات في جنوب طرابلس، ممّا رفع العدد الإجمالي للأسر النازحة منذ أن بدأ النزاع المسلّح في يوم 5 أبريل إلى 1.615 أسرة (أي حوالي 8.075 فردا). وخلال آخر ثماني وأربعين ساعة، تضرّرت المناطق المتأثّرة من النّزاع بصورة متزايدة من انقطاع الكهرباء والماء إلى جانب إغلاق الطرقات.
