Within the period of 25 April - 05 May 2019, a total of 3,320 movements were recorded, including 2,695 arrivals and 625 departures. Arrivals were recorded at locations in Askira/Uba, Bama, Biu, Chibok, Dikwa, Gwoza, Jere, Kaga, Mafa, Maiduguri, Mobbar, Monguno and Ngala Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Borno state and locations in Demsa, Fufore, Girei, Gombi, Hong, Lamurde, Madagali, Maiha, Mayo Belwa, Michika, Mubi North, Mubi South, Numan, Song, Yola North and Yola South LGAs of Adamawa state. Departures were recorded at Askira/Uba LGA of Borno state, Demsa, Fufore, Girei, Gombi, Hong, Madagali, Maiha, Michika, Mubi North, Mubi South, Numan and Yola North LGAs of Adamawa state. ETT assessments identified the following movement triggers: voluntary relocation (27%), improved security (17%), fear of attack (7%), ongoing conflict (13%) military operation (4%) and poor living conditions (32%).
Since the beginning of March 2019, Malawi experienced floods and sustained heavy rains caused by the tropical cyclone Idai weather system. From 25 — 28 April 2019 IOM, in close coordination with the Government of Malawi through the Department of Disaster Management Affairs (DoDMA), conducted DTM Round III multi-sectoral location assessments in 81 displacement sites in Chikwawa, Nsanje, Phalombe, Zomba districts.
On the 30th of April 2019, IOM’s Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) teams conducted a rapid intention survey in nine displacement sites located in Beira and Nhamatanda districts, in coordination with the Mozambique’s National Institute for Disaster Management (INGC). A total of 408 head of households were interviewed during this exercise in Beira and Nhamatanda
Following the recommendation from the Upper Nile Solutions Working Group, IOM and UNHCR conducted a joint survey in Malakal Protection of Civilian Site (PoC) to establish people’s intentions to return, the tentative time frame of return or relocation and preferred destinations, as well as present an analysis of people’s perceptions and aspirations on the way to move forward. The survey seeks to inform the work of humanitarian and transition/ recovery partners, as well as collaborative interventions by the Upper Nile Solutions Working Group.
The Multi-Sectoral Location Assessments conducted from 25 April to 28 April 2019 by DTM teams in 81 sites located in Chikwawa, Nsanje, Phalombe and Zomba districts allowed us to produice these Site Profiles.
This dashboard presents information on the displacement situation in the Far North Region of Cameroon. Data was collected between 28 March and 8 April 2019. The displaced population is estimated at 423,835 individuals (262,831 IDPs, 50,981 out of camp refugees and 110,023 returnees). 853 villages were evaluated including 7 new villages. 50.2% of the displaced population were male and 49.8% were female. 62% were under 18 years old, while 3% were 60 years old or older. 39% of those displaced lived with host families, 24% lived in spontaneous sites, 19% returned to their original dwelling, 10% lived in rental homes, 7% lived in new homes and one per cent live in collective centers.
Ce rapport donne un aperçu de la situation dans la Région de l’Extrême-Nord du Cameroun, où l’insécurité liée aux violences de groupes extrémistes armés, et dans une moindre mesure les phénomènes climatiques ont donné lieu à d’importants mouvements de population. Les informations présentées sur ce dashboard ont été recueillies auprès des personnes déplacées avec l’accord et le soutien des autorités locales, entre le 28 mars et le 8 avril 2019. Lors du round 18 de la DTM, un total de 423 835 individus (67 798 ménages) a été identifié, dont 262 831 PDI, 50 981 réfugiés hors camp et 110 023 retournés. 50,2% des populations déplacées étaient de sexe masculin, et 49,8% étaient de sexe masculin. 62% des personnes déplacées étaient des mineurs, tandis que 3% étaient des personnes âgées. 39% des populations déplacées vivaient en famille d'accueil, tandis que 24% vivaient en site spontané, 19% dans leur habitation d'origine, 10% en location, 7% dans un nouveau domicile personnel, et moins de un pour cent en centre collectif.

إثر نشوب الاشتباكات في جنوب طرابلس في يوم 04 أبريل 2019، نزح عدد لا يقلّ عن 11.975 أسرة (حوالي 59.875فردا) من مساكنها الأصلية. ومنذ آخر تحديث أصدرته المصفوفة في يوم 02 مايو 2019، سجّلنا نزوح 1.865 أسرة إضافية (حوالي 9.325 فردا). وحاليا، لا يزال هنالك أكثر من 3.460 مهاجرا في مراكز الإيواء في طرابلس والمواقع القريبة منها وهم يمثّلون أكثر الأشخاص المعرّضين للخطر.
Le suivi des urgences a pour but de recueillir des informations sur les mouvements importants et soudains des populations. Les informations sont collectées auprès des informateurs clés à travers des appels téléphoniques, des entretiens physiques ou des observations directes. Ce rapport présente les informations sur un mouvement de populations survenu le 28 avril 2019 de la sous-préfecture de Kangalom vers celle de Bagasola suite à la crainte engendrée par les récentes attaques armées dans la province du Lac.
