Dès le début de la crise centrafricaine en 2013, des ressortissants Tchadiens ont quitté la République centrafricaine pour retourner au Tchad, notamment vers les provinces du Sud (Moyen-Chari, Mandoul, Logone Oriental et Logone Occidental). L'OIM a mis en place sa Matrice de suivi des déplacements (DTM) dans la province du Moyen-Chari afin d’évaluer le nombre et les besoins de ces retournés Tchadiens dans la province. Les données ont été collectées auprès d'informateurs clés au niveau des villages et des sites accueillant ces retournés. Ce tableau de bord présente les résultats d'évaluations menées entre juin et juillet 2019 dans 23 localités. Celles-ci ont permis d’identifier 37 349 individus retournés (8 739 ménages). La majorité des retournés (79%) vit dans sept sites, les plus importants étant Maïngama, Sido Est et Sido Ouest.

Ever since the start of the Central African crisis in 2013, Chadian nationals have been fleeing the Central African Republic to return to Chad, and in particular to the country's southern provinces (Moyen-Chari, Mandoul, Logone Oriental and Logone Occidental). IOM is implementing the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) in the Moyen-Chari province to gain a better understanding of the number and needs of returnees living in the province. Data is collected from key informants in the sites and villages hosting returnees. This dashboard presents the findings of assessments carried out in June and July 2019 in 23 locations. A total of 37,349 returnees (8,739 households) were identified. Results show that most of returnees (79%) live in seven displacement sites. The sites of Maïngama, Sido Est and Sido Ouest being the largest ones.

Within the period of 15 - 21 July, a total of 1,390 movements were recorded, including 1,140 arrivals and 250 departures. Arrivals were recorded at locations in Askira/Uba, Bama, Biu, Damboa, Gwoza, Mafa, Mobbar, Monguno and Ngala Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Borno state and locations in Girei, Gombi, Hong, Madagali, Maiha, Michika, Mubi South, Numan, Song and Yola South LGAs of Adamawa state. Departures were recorded in Bama, Damboa and Kala Balge LGAs of Borno state and locations in Demsa, Hong, Maiha, Michika, Mubi North, Mubi South and Numan LGAs of Adamawa state. ETT assessments identified the following movement triggers: voluntary relocation (20%), improved security (11%), involuntary relocation (1%), ongoing conflict (5%), military operation (6%) and poor living conditions (57%).
