From the period 9 – 15 September 2019, a total of 1,953 movements were recorded, they composed of 1,583 arrivals and 370 departures. Arrivals were recorded at locations in Askira/Uba, Bama, Damboa, Dikwa, Gwoza, Hawul, Jere, Konduga, Maiduguri, Mobbar, Monguno and Ngala Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Borno State, and locations in Demsa, Girei, Hong, Maiha, Madagali, Mayo-Belwa, Michika, Mubi North, Mubi South, Numan, Song and Yola South LGAs of Adamawa State. Departures were recorded in Askira/Uba, Bama, Gwoza and Kala/Balge LGAs of Borno State, locations in Demsa, Fufore, Gombi, Hong, Maiha, Michika, Mubi North, Mubi South, Numan, Song and Yola South LGAs of Adamawa State. ETT assessments identified the following movement triggers: poor living conditions (30%), voluntary relocation (28%), conflict/attack (25%), improved security (8%), fear of attack (7%), military operations (2%) and involuntary relocation (1%).
A la date du 31 août 2019, les partenaires de la CMP ont comptabilisé 171 437 personnes déplacés internes, soit une augmentation de 2 922 individus entre le 1er et le 31 août 2019. En parallèle, 74 143 rapatriés, soit une augmentation de 59 personnes par rapport aux données de juillet 2019 (74 088 Rapatriés), 555 976 personnes retournées ont été enregistrés par les équipes de la DNDS et 138 300 réfugiés maliens dans les pays limitrophes par l’UNHCR.
En juillet 2019, la matrice de suivi des déplacements (DTM) comptait 109 372 personnes déplacées à l'intérieur de leur propre pays et 24 466 ménages déplacés. Parmi ces déplacements, 77% ont été déplacés en raison de catastrophes naturelles et 23% ont été déplacés pour d'autres raisons. Sur la population totale de personnes déplacées, 55% sont des femmes et 45% des hommes.
In July 2019, the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) recorded 109,372 internally displaced people (IDP) and 24,466 displaced households. Of these displacements, 77 per cent were displaced due to natural disasters while 23 per cent were displaced due to other reasons. Of the total IDP population, 55 per cent are female and 45 per cent are males.
The DTM Monthly Regional Update contains consolidated summary updates and highlights from DTM field operations. This document covers updates from the regional network of flow monitoring of migrants, as well as the tracking and monitoring of internal displacement in the countries. It is published on a monthly basis and covers the West and Central Africa Region.
The West and Central Africa Mobility Mapping report is a compilation of maps showing various mobility trends and mobility factors for movements to and from the West and central Africa region (forced displacement, transhumance, labour movements, etc.) This work is based on multiple data collection activities implemented by IOM and other actors (UNDESA, Ministries of Interior of various countries) and showcase the complexity of mobility in the region.
Entre os dias 20 e 27 de Agosto, as equipas do IOM DTM (matriz de localização de deslocamentos) em estreita coordenação com o Instituto Nacional de Gestão de Calamidade de Moçambique (INGC), realizaram avaliações de base a nível das Localidade, que representam o nível administrativo mais baixo do País. Nesta quinta ronda cobriu 26 Distritos nas Províncias de Sofala, Manica, Tete e Zambezia. As equipes da DTM entrevistaram chefes de Localidade capturando estimativas de população e a sua distribuição geográfica, movimentos da população, reparação dos abrigos e acesso a serviços nas comunidades.
From 20 to 27 August, in close coordination with Mozambique’s National Institute for Disaster Management (INGC), IOM DTM (Displacement Tracking Matrix) teams conducted baseline assessments at locality level (localidade), which corresponds to the lowest administrative level in the country. The fifth round covered 26 districts in Sofala, Manica, Tete and Zambezia provinces. The DTM teams interviewed locality chiefs capturing population estimates and geographic distribution, population movements, shelter repairs and access to services in host communities.
This document uses the DTM questionnaire indicators to understand the extent of protection needs, support gaps, and risks reported by key informants in the surveyed sites during the DTM Round 8 data collection. This analysis aims to identify sites, prefectures and sub-prefectures with an accumulation of protection risks, which could lead to additional research and prioritization of humanitarian interventions.
Ce document utilise les indicateurs du questionnaire de la DTM afin de comprendre l’étendue des besoins de protection, des lacunes d’assistance et des risques rapportés par les informateurs clés dans les sites enquêtés pendant la collecte de données du DTM Round 8. Cette analyse vise à identifier les sites, préfectures et souspréfectures avec une accumulation des risques de protection, ce qui pourrait amener à une recherche supplémentaire et à une priorisation des interventions humanitaires.
The ongoing conflict in Yemen, since March 2015, has led to the displacement of more than 3.6 million people (according to DTM's 2018 Area Assessment). DTM's Rapid Displacement Tracking tool collects and reports on numbers of households forced to flee on a daily basis, allowing for regular reporting of new displacements in terms of numbers, geography and needs. In the first nine months of 2019, from the beginning of the year until 15th September, 351,366 individuals (58,561 Households) were displaced. Between 08 and 15 September, prominent displacements were seen in Taizz (128 HH), Ibb (36 HH), Abyan (31 HH) and Amanat Al Asimah (30 HH) Governorates. Most displacement resulted due to increased fighting in Aden (106 HH), Al Hudaydah (47 HH) and Taizz (43 HH).

In the first Eight months of 2019, conflict activities have resulted in new patterns of displacement, particularly in within Hajjah, Al Dhale'e, and Al Hudaydah governorates.
