En septembre 2019, la matrice de suivi des déplacements (DTM) comptait 103 412 personnes déplacées à l'intérieur de leur propre pays et 23 180 ménages déplacés. Parmi ces déplacements, 77 pour cent ont été déplacés en raison de catastrophes naturelles et 23 pour cent ont été déplacés pour d'autres raisons. Sur la population totale de personnes déplacées, 55 pour cent sont des femmes et 45 pour cent des hommes.

In September 2019, the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) recorded 103,412 internally displaced people (IDP) and 23,180 displaced households. Of these displacements, 77 per cent were displaced due to natural disasters while 23 per cent were displaced due to other reasons. Of the total IDP population, 55 per cent are female and 45 per cent are males.

L’objectif de l’outil de suivi des urgences est de rassembler des informations sur les mouvements significatifs et soudains de populations. Ce rapport présente des informations sur des mouvements ayant eu lieu le 12 décembre 2019 dans le département du Mayo-Sava dans la région de l’Extrême-Nord, et ayant causé le déplacement de 1 120 personnes (180 ménages).

During the period of 9 – 15 December 2019, a total of 2,721 movements were recorded, which composed of 2,117 arrivals and 604 departures. Arrivals were recorded at locations in Askira/Uba, Bama, Damboa, Gwoza, Mafa, Mobbar and Ngala Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Borno State. Arrivals were also recorded in Demsa, Fufore, Gombi, Hong, Madagali, Maiha, Michika, Mubi North, Mubi South, Numan, Song, Yola North and Yola South LGAs of Adamawa State. Departures were recorded in Askira/Uba, Gwoza and Kala/Balge LGAs of Borno State. Departures were also recorded in Girei, Hong, Madagali, Maiha, Mubi North, Mubi South, Numan, Song and Yola South LGAs of Adamawa State.   ETT assessments identified the following movement triggers: voluntary relocation (26%), poor living conditions (22%), conflict/attack (22%), improved security (17%) and fear of attack (13%).

In order to capture the displacement and mobility dynamics in Ethiopia, DTM Ethiopia’s National Displacement Report combines its findings from its Site Assessment (SA) in Section 1 and findings from the Village Assessment Survey (VAS) in Section 2. Through the Site Assessment which was conducted from 1 to 30 September 2019, DTM captured 1,606,086 IDPs (307,437 IDP households) in 1,149 sites. The biggest causes of displacement were conflict which displaced 1,073,583 IDPs, followed by drought which affected 402,562 IDPs and seasonal flood which affected 35,546 IDPs. VAS was carried out between 1 to 12 October 2019 and covered 941 villages across 7 regions. VAS is targeted at locations with high returns to evaluate the absorption capacity of the village with a focus on accessibility of services, livelihoods and reintegration. A total of 1,138,707 returning IDPs, 52,977 IDPs, 7,412 returned migrants and 1,144,380 host community members were tracked through VAS. 

The ongoing conflict in Yemen, since March 2015, has led to the displacement of more than 3.6 million people (according to DTM's 2018 Area Assessment). DTM's Rapid Displacement Tracking tool collects and reports on numbers of households forced to flee on a daily basis, allowing for regular reporting of new displacements in terms of numbers, geography and needs. From 01 January- 07 December 2019, IOM Yemen DTM estimates that 65,438 Households or 392,628 Individuals have experienced displacement, at least once.  Between the 01st and 07th of December, the highest number of displacements were seen in: ·        Al Dhale’e (121 HH) – Qa’atabah (41 HH), Al Husha (23 HH) and Damt (21 HH) districts. Most displacements in the governorate were internal. ·        Taizz (81 HH) – At Ta'iziyah (16 HH) and Dimnat Khadir (15 HH) districts. Most displacements in the governorate were internal. ·        Hajjah (61 HH) – Washhah (30 HH) and Abs (15 HH) districts. Most displacements in the governorate were internal. Most displacement resulted from increased conflict in the following Governorates and districts. ·        Al Dhale'e (115 HH) – Qa'atabah (97 HH) and Al Husha (16 HH) districts. ·        Al Hudaydah (96 HH) – Al Hali (28 HH) and Bayt Al Faqiah (18 HH) districts. ·        Hajjah (80 HH) – Washhah (30 HH) and Abs (26 HH) districts. ·        Taizz (80 HH) –  Mawiyah (29 HH) and Salh (9 HH) districts.

Between the 08th and 14th of December, the highest number of displacements were seen in: ·       Hajjah (139 HH) – Mustaba (95 HH) and Abs (44 HH) districts. Most displacements in the governorate were internal. ·       Taizz (125 HH) – Salh (15 HH), As Silw (15 HH), Shara'b As Salam (13 HH) and Al Wazi'iyah (13 HH) districts. Most displacements in the governorate were internal. ·       Al Hudaydah (85 HH) – Al Khawkhah (62 HH) and Az Zuhrah (19 HH) districts. Most of displaced households were originated from Al Hudaydah and Hajjah. Most displacement resulted from increased conflict in the following Governorates and districts. ·       Hajjah (171 HH) – Mustaba (95 HH) and Abs (70 HH) districts. ·       Al Hudaydah (129 HH) – Hais (28 HH), Al Hawak (25 HH), Al Garrahi (20 HH) and Al Hali (19 HH) districts. ·       Al Dhale'e (71 HH) – Qa'atabah (54 HH) and Al Husha (10 HH) districts. ·       Taizz (71 HH) –  Mawiyah (13 HH) and Maqbanah (10 HH) districts.

Ce rapport présente des informations complètes sur les profils de populations déplacées, les caractéristiques de déplacement et les intentions de retour des populations déplacées. L’objectif est d’examiner les conditions de vie dans les localités de retour, et le caractère durable des mouvements de retour, afin d’assurer un retour des populations déplacées dans toute dignité et sécurité, et mieux orienter la prise de décision relative à la mise en œuvre des solutions durables pour les populations déplacées en RCA. 44% des PDI vivant dans les sites de déplacement et 26% des PDI vivant en famille d'accueil ont exprimé leur intention de retourner dans leurs localités d'origine. La situation sécuritaire, mentionnées par 70% des ménages interrogés, joue un rôle majeur dans la décision de retourner ou de rester dans les sites. L'accueil des retournées par les communautés locales  est positive (95% des retournés se sentent intégrés), et les communautés sont favorables au retour des populations déplacées. La nutrition, les abris, et l'emploi sont les besoins les plus fréquents des populations cibles.

This report presents the findings of Round 27 of the mobility tracking component of the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) programme in Libya, covering the reporting period from August to October 2019. In Round 27, the number of internally displaced persons (IDPs) identified in Libya increased from 301,407 IDPs to 343,180 IDPs. New displacements during the reporting period were primarily due to continued conflict in Tripoli and to the outbreak of clashes in Murzuq, Southern Libya, since August 2019.

In Round 27, the number of internally displaced persons (IDPs) identified in Libya increased from 301,407 IDPs to 343,180 IDPs. New displacements during the reporting period were primarily due to continued conflict in Tripoli and to the outbreak of clashes in Murzuq, Southern Libya, since August 2019.

This Dashboard presents the results data collected from September to December 2019. They show the beginning of transhumance from the Northern to the Southern part of Chad. Most of the herders were Chadian nationals and 53 per cent were children. Moyen-Chari province (34%), Chari-Baguirmi (11%) and Ouaddaï (8%), were the main places of provenance of the herders. Destinations were essentially the Moyen-Chari province (53%) and the Central African Republic (32%). Two incidents were reported in early December 2019: the first occurred after cattle devastated a farmland and the second, after a herder failed to get paid by the owner of the cattle.
