The data collection for Round 112 took place during the months of September and October 2019. As of 31 October 2019, DTM identified 1,444,500 IDPs (240,750 households) dispersed across 18 governorates, 104 districts and 3,066 locations in Iraq. For the same period, DTM also identified 4,460,808  returnees (743,468 households) across 8 governorates, 38 districts and 1,773 locations.

Following attacks by armed groups on 22 and 23 December 2019 in the village of Dabalami, located in an island of the lac Tchad, in the département of Mamdi (sous-préfecture of Kangalam), 73 households of 500 individuals from Kofia Almé, Bourni Goni, Sinakka and Kendelo in the vicinity of the attack location, fled to the village of Kinassorom located in another island of the lac Chad in the souspréfecture of Bol.

This DTM report refers to the fourth round of site assessments conducted in North Cotabato and Davao del Sur from 25 to 27 November 2019. IOM deployed 3 enumerators included among 3 mobile CCCM support teams to roll out the DTM. Coordination was done with the local government of North Cotabato and Davao del Sur, as well as DSWD Regions XI and XII, and P/M/CDRRMOs. Key informant interviews and focus group discussions in the assessed sites are the main data sources. 24 sites were assessed for this report. 24 sites were assessed for this report. On  15  December  2019 at 02:11  PM, a 6.9 magnitude earthquake  jolted the  municipality  of Matanao,  Davao  del  Sur  just  30  kilometers  away  from  Tulunan,  North  Cotabato  which suffered three major earthquakes in late October. According to  the  latest DSWD-DROMIC report (Report#  7),  81,629  families  or  373,999  persons  are  affected  and  21,495  houses are damaged  (4,546  totally  destroyed  and  26,041  partially  damaged).  29,473  families  or 130,902 persons are displaced. 57 government-listed IDP sites host 7,873 families or  36,701 persons and  21,600 families or  94,201  persons are otherwise          displaced.

On  15  December  2019 at 02:11  PM, a 6.9 magnitude earthquake  jolted the  municipality  of Matanao,  Davao  del  Sur  just  30   kilometers  away  from  Tulunan,  North  Cotabato  which suffered three major earthquakes in late October. According to  the  latest DSWD-DROMIC report (Report#  4), 31,988 families  or  137,271  persons  are  affected  and  14,172  houses are damaged (2,760  totally  destroyed  and  11,380  partially  damaged).  29,957  families  or  126,046 persons are displaced. 31 government-listed IDP sites host 4,368 families or  21,457 persons and 4,566 families or  18,986 persons are otherwise  displaced.

  The ongoing conflict in Yemen, since March 2015, has led to the displacement of more than 3.6 million people (according to DTM's 2018 Area Assessment). DTM's Rapid Displacement Tracking tool collects and reports on numbers of households forced to flee on a daily basis, allowing for regular reporting of new displacements in terms of numbers, geography and needs. From 01 January- 21 December 2019, IOM Yemen DTM estimates that 66,402 Households or 398,412 Individuals have experienced displacement, at least once. Between the 15th and 21st of December, the highest number of displacements were seen in: ·       Al Dhale’e (134 HH) – Qa’atabah (99 HH), Ad Dhale’e (19 HH) districts. Most displacements in the governorate were internal. ·       Taizz (88 HH) – Shara'b As Salam (15 HH), Ash Shamayatayn (14 HH) and Al Qahirah (13 HH) districts. Most of displaced households were originated from Taizz, Aden and Al Hudaydah. ·       Al Hudaydah (76 HH) – Ad Dahi (59 HH) and Bayt Al Faqiah (17 HH) districts. Most displacements in the governorate were internal. ·       Al Jawf (67 HH) – Bart Al Anan (36 HH), Khabb wa ash Sha'af (17 HH) and Rajuzah (14 HH) districts. Most displacements in the governorate were internal. Most displacement resulted from increased conflict in the following Governorates and districts. ·       Al Dhale'e (161 HH) – Qa’atabah (140 HH) and Al Husha (15 HH) districts. ·       Al Hudaydah (124 HH) – Al Hali (34 HH), Al Hawak (25 HH), Bayt Al Faqiah (14 HH) and Al Mina (14 HH) districts. ·       Al Jawf (77 HH) – Khabb wa ash Sha'af (50 HH) and Bart Al Anan (25 HH) districts.

The crisis currently affecting the Lake Chad Basin states results from a complex combination of factors, including conflict with Non-State Armed Groups, extreme poverty, underdevelopment and a changing climate, which together have triggered significant displacement of populations. As of 17 December 2019, Cameroon, Chad, Niger and Nigeria were hosting an estimated 4,669,100 affected individuals made up of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), Refugees (both in- and out-of-camp), Returnees (Former IDPs and Returnees from abroad) and Third Country Nationals (TCNs). 78 per cent of the affected population (representing 3,654,242 individuals) were located in Nigeria, while 11 per cent resided in Cameroon (521,782 individuals), 6 per cent in Niger (258,899 individuals) and 5 per cent in Chad (234,177 individuals).

From 02 to 12 December 2019, in close coordination with Mozambique’s National Institute for Disaster Management (INGC), IOM’s DTM teams conducted multi-sectoral location assessments (MSLA) in resettlement sites in the four affected Provinces of Sofala, Manica, Tete and Zambezia. The DTM teams interviewed key informants capturing population estimates, mobility patterns, and multi-sectoral needs and vulnerabilities.

From 02 to 12 December 2019, in close coordination with Mozambique’s National Institute for Disaster Management (INGC), IOM’s DTM teams conducted multi-sectoral location assessments (MSLA) in resettlement sites in the four affected Provinces of Sofala, Manica, Tete and Zambezia.

The majority of the identified returnees (70%) came from two countries: Turkey (39%) and the Syrian Arab Republic (31%). Most of the returnees from abroad were recorded in the governates of Ninewa (57%), Thi-Qar (17%) and Anbar (11%). In Ninew, 60 per cent of returnees were reported in the district of Telafar while Sinjar accounted for 31 per cent of them. In Thi-Qar, 75 per cent were observed in the district of Nassirya, while 19 per cent were observed in the district of Al-Rifa'i. Finally, in Anbar, 66 per cent returned to Ana District while 12 per cent were in Fallujah.
