During this reporting period IOM Libya conducted 8,306 interviews using simple random sampling across 10 different regions, some consisting of several Flow Monitoring Points.

Between 1 January and 26 February 2017, at least 138,000 individuals in Somalia have been internally displaced. A majority of these IDPs come from Bay, Bari, Gedo, Mudug, Galgaduud and Middle Shbelle. Drought conditions prevail in South Central as well as in other parts of Somalia.

As part of its sixth round of the Displacement Tracking matrix (DTM), the International Organization for Migration (IOM) conducted a Return Intention Survey targeting IDPs in the Far North Region of Cameroon.

 On 23 February heavy clashes broke out in Abu Slim in Tripoli. The clashes led to the displacement of 35 families.  2,755 individuals are reported to have returned to Sirte during the course of the last week.

A snapshot of the movement of people from: Barna (246 arrivals), Dikwa (234 arrivals), Kala/Balge (320 arrivals), Mobbar, Kodunga, Gwoza (892 arrivals), Monguno (54 arrivals), Kukawa (370 arrivals), Yola South (42 arrivals) and Mub (60 arrivals).

As part of its fifth round of the Displacement Tracking matrix (DTM), the International Organization for Migration (IOM) conducted a Return Intention Survey targeting IDPs in the Far North Region of Cameroon.

The surveys informing this report were carried out in two districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), namely Peshawar and Haripur, during the 6th and 10th of February 2017. A total of 279 individuals in 42 families were surveyed. Four Focus Group Discussions were also carried out in both districts.

From August to September 2016, the Taskforce on Population Movement (TFPM) implemented a multi-cluster location assessment to gather more in-depth data on the IDP, returnee and host populations, in 3,292 locations hosting IDPs and/or returnees, covering all 22 governorates in Yemen.

In cooperation with IOM DTM, the DRECM-R (National Directorate on Civil Status and Refugees) recorded 105,491 refugees (22,103 households), 14,678 returnees (2,816 households) and 121,391 IDPs (25,293 households) as of 31 December 2016.  In total, the population amounts to 241,560 individuals (50

Between January and February 2017, DTM found that 23,248 people have been newly displaced, bringing the total population displaced to 431,634 people.

En décembre 2016, DTM a identifié 141 221 258 PDI (29 245 ménages) dans onze provinces. La plupart des PDI résident dans la province de Gitega (34 584 PDI). 58% des PDI ont été déplacées à la suite de désastres naturels, 42% ont été déplacées en raison de la situation socio-politique.

DTM recorded 163,896 IDPs comprising 27,316 families across 7 governorates. The governorate of Ninewa hosted the most IDPs, 152,610 (93%). Mosul was the most commonly cited district of origin with 129, 456 people recorded as originating from there.

The cumulative total of individuals displaced within this period was 161,955 (26,955 families). The district hosting the largest number of IDPs within this period was Al-Hamdaniya with 70,728 recorded IDPs.

This snapshot provides information on location, movement and needs of displacement in Pulka, Bama, Dikwa, Kala/Balge, Mobbar,Konduga and Gwoza during the covered period.

A total of 711 evacuation shelters were inventoried. Of these, the DTM teams profiled 423 shelters and registered 79 shelters. As of 14 February 2017, 47 evacuation shelters remained open, hosting an estimated 7,015 persons (representing 1,564 households).
