IOM’s Displacement Tracking Matrix has been monitoring displacement movements related to this crisis since October 15, when Iraqi Security Forces began moving into disputed areas previously held by Kurdish forces.

The data in this report focuses on the alternative dwelling spaces and other provisions geared towards improving the living condition of IDPs, the IDPs who have returned and the issues relevant to the return program, and population demographics.

The DTM Emergency Tracking Tool (ETT) is deployed to track and provide up-to-date information on sudden displacement and other population movements in: Askira/Uba, Bama, Chibok, Damboa, Dikwa, Gubio, Gwoza, Jere, Kaga, Kala/Balge, Konduga, Kukawa, Maiduguri M.C., Mafa, Monguno, Hong, Ngala, Nganz

IOM conducted flow monitoring at various cross border points, transit areas, PoCs, and IDP Collective sites across South Sudan.

The DTM has been monitoring displacement movements from West Anbar areas, particularly the districts of Ana, Al-Ka’im and Ru’ua, since January 2017.

As of October 2017 DTM estimates 168,000 IDPs in Gedo district, living in 310 IDP sites, the majority of IDPs considered as integrated within the host community.

IOM Nigeria's DTM unit conducted Biometric Registration in Ngala Local Government Area (LGA) of Borno State covering Arabic Village Camp, International School Camp and neighbouring host community sites.

Round 11 identified 335,016 individuals (55,735 households) in 14 host localities, of which 67% are minors. The average household size is 7.6 and most individuals (47%) live in host families.

The country of Antigua and Barbuda was affected by the passage of Hurricane Irma. Particularly, on the island of Barbuda where an estimated 95% of buildings were damaged and 1,700 Barbudans affected.

As of February 2016, IOM Niger has been carrying out flow monitoring of migrants at two points in Niger in the region of Agadez. This flow monitoring does not replace border monitoring nor does it claim to observe all migratory flows in the Agadez region.

The displaced population is estimated at 335,016 individuals (241,987 IDPs,29,337 out of camp refugees and 63,692 returnees). 743 villages were evaluated including 14 new villages. 60 uninhabited villages were identified.
